Policy

This statement is made pursuant to the RoHS Directive 2006 and the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2013 and sets out steps that Rickards & Cleaver has undertaken in its continuing ensurance that the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment be minimised as well as in in facilitating the collection and appropriate recycling of any such equipment that may be found in use. 

Rickards & Cleaver further recognises that it has a responsibility to the environment beyond its legal and regulatory requirements and are committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance as an integral part of our business strategy and operating methods. 

Outline

Rickards & Cleaver endeavour to comply with and exceed all relevant regulatory requirements and to continually improve and reduce environmental impacts, including but not limited to the reduction of packaging in purchased products and the use of recycled and recyclable paper for documents.

Rickards & Cleaver will only ever use licensed and appropriate organisations to dispose of waste where such recycling is not posiable.

Rickards & Cleaver bases its knowledge in regard to this policy on information provided by third party suppliers and makes no representation or warranty as to the accuracy of such information. The company has taken and continues to take all reasonable steps to obtaining representative and accurate information, but may not have conducted testing or analysis on incoming equipment and utilities.
