Contrary to popular myth, Mark was not one of the original partners when the firm was setup in 1796. Having in fact jointed the firm in 1986, he was made Partner later that same year.

Mark has in his time turned his hand to most areas of the law but currently specialises in Residential and Commercial Conveyancing.

Mark is married with two children and lives in the Matlock area. In his spare time he likes to keep fit by trying to play squash and walking (to the pub – weather permitting). He is also a keen follower of football and Liverpool F.C.

Liz Garratt is a qualified Private Client Solicitor with over 21 years of extensive experience in all aspects of Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection Deputyship orders.

She understands that visiting a Solicitor can be a daunting experience for many people and treats all her clients with empathy. Nursing home, hospital, and home visits are no problem if required, and Liz will often work outside normal office hours to facilitate this.

Even with 4 children and 3 grandchildren to occupy her, she still finds the time to read, and regularly visits the cinema and theatre.

Andrew has over twenty four years’ experience in the law having been a partner and director in a successful East Midlands law firm. Resolving disputes large and small is his cup of tea.

When not working, you will find Andrew down at the gym or on the tennis court burning off those calories as he does like his food!

Even when abroad he usually can’t resist the temptation to don his skies or scuba gear especially with his two daughters. He is also known to enjoy a summers afternoon by the lake fishing.

Mother of three, I enjoy socialising holidays with family and friends, regular trips to the cinema and im partial to large glass of Pink Gin on a Friday night…

I started my career at Rickard & Cleavers and after nearly ten years out of legal work ive returned to where it all began!

Sharon joined the firm in 2012 as both personal assistant to Liz Garratt and taking on the firm’s cashier role. She has been working in the legal profession since 1985 and she has worked in Civil Litigation, Conveyancing and with Private Clients during the last 33 years.

Sharon is married with 2 children and lives in Ambergate. When she is not in the office she enjoys reading, knitting, going to the theatre and walking her dogs in and around the beautiful Derbyshire countryside.

Louise has worked for Rickards & Cleaver since September 2013.

In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family taking trips out, socialising with friends, going away and watching films.
